The place is old, but clean enough. It’s not a 5-star hotel, though staying aboard a ship is a 5-star experience. The staff were very nice, the location was amazing, and the simple food was tasty. There’s a bar on board too, which can be a plus or a minus if you’re tired. Thanks for the experience.

The room was extremely dirty and smelled awful. They’d sprayed some cheap chemical to cover the odor, and the ventilator fan didn’t work. There was dried bird feces on the chair. We tried to leave immediately, but manager Maciej Falkowski refused a refund. It was extremely small, with a non-private washroom. The bed was listed as one full bed, but was two twins pushed together, and it was too short for me. You could hear people walking above because the rooms are below a bar.

The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the showers clean but dated when I stayed. Staff speak English, and the owner or owners are happy to chat and hear criticism. Drinks are reasonably priced. I skipped the food since Torun has plenty of great restaurants. The mosquito screens fitted into the windows were a nice bonus. It’s an excellent hostel for the price and in a great location. Renovations are ongoing, so it’s half modern and half dated at the moment. The owner said they’d be updating the other half quite soon.

I stopped in while out walking by the Vistula when a sudden heavy rain started. The staff and service were good, there was a nice selection of beer and food, and it’s a good spot to relax and enjoy yourself.
