Hostel Torun Glowny

The dorms were clean, with little bedside lights, sockets and large lockers. Receptionists were pleasant, and the hostel is easy to reach by train. Two buses can get you to the Old Town in under 10 minutes. The train noise was tolerable and shouldn’t bother you. There’s a small kitchen, and breakfast comes with toast, cornflakes and coffee. The women’s bathroom could really use more than one shower.

Really cool hostel. Great staff and a lovely room with a design I liked. Everything was clean, new and in good shape, and the WiFi was fast. It’s also well located near the station and a cafe bar. Had a great stay!

The staff were pleasant, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. I booked two nights on the hostel’s website and received confirmation, then was told on arrival that the price was wrong and I had to pay extra. I decided to stay only one night. If a booking price has been confirmed, customers shouldn’t be asked to cover a problem with the booking site. Charging more was unacceptable, and for the same money or less I’d choose a nicer hostel in central Torun. The building was cold, and the location was poor. There was no stovetop, the WiFi didn’t work, and they expected guests to use the Polish Rail connection. There was only one bathroom per floor, breakfast was stale bread, and the place had no atmosphere. There was also an unpleasant blue light shining above every bed.

A decent spot to stay, with a nice interior and helpful staff. :)
