Late-night music from a nearby hotel made it almost impossible to sleep. The staff and management knew about it and still did nothing. The rooms smelled and hadn't been cleaned properly, which made the whole stay uncomfortable. Reception staff were unfriendly and didn't seem well trained, and they offered little help. For what the hotel charges, it was far too expensive. We wouldn't recommend it. This was the worst hotel we've stayed in during our time in Poland.

For two people, breakfast included, it came to €40 per night, which is a great deal. The breakfast itself was tasty and good quality, even though there wasn't much choice. Ibis Budget is basic, not a posh or high-standard hotel, but if you just need a clean place to sleep in the city center, it works well. The old market is only about a 15-minute walk away.

The location was decent, and I can't fault the staff, though we barely interacted beyond check-in. The beds were awful: they shifted while I was asleep and I woke up nearly falling off. The mattresses were thin, like prison mattresses. The room was tiny, the shower dirty, and the plugs were in awkward spots, especially for two people. I had a bad back and shoulder for all four days there. I guess you get what you pay for.

For a really good price we got a nice room and breakfast. The rooms are small, but clean and have what a practical traveler needs. The staff were absolutely lovely, smiling and doing more than they had to. Breakfast was good too, with options for people who are lactose intolerant.
