Villa Art

We recently held our wedding reception at Villa Art, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The food tasted off to guests and seemed stale, which understandably made us worry about its quality and safety. The venue was visibly dirty too, with grimy floors and mirrors, and we were given tap water instead of the bottled water we expected. One staff member was courteous and professional, which was the only real positive. The rest of the reception arrangements were very poor, and we can’t recommend this venue for an important event.

I’m writing this late, but I was there for a First Communion in May, and it was a disaster. We were told the room would be exclusively ours, yet on the day we had to share it with other guests. The menu wasn’t what we had ordered because the kitchen said they wouldn’t prepare it. There were eight First Communions, and everyone was made to eat the same thing, like a cattle drive, apparently because the chefs couldn’t manage otherwise. Some First Communions were even held in a pseudo-tent. When we asked the owner to leave, he refused because he was doing the dishes. Who’s actually in charge, the owner or the staff? This was the last time I’ll go to this hopeless place. I hope the owner gets new staff and improves customer service. They also accept cash only, which makes it easy to avoid the tax office and paying taxes. Maybe someone will finally inspect them. The worst restaurant in the area.

The location was definitely a plus for our team-building event, and there’s a playground too. The food wasn’t very tasty: the dumplings had no flavor, and the cakes were so crumbly they wouldn’t stay in your hand. Some of the plates were chipped, and I had to wipe them myself because they weren’t clean. There was no salt or pepper on the table where it was needed. The service wasn’t very smiley, though they were always around to bring things in and take them away.

The students had a wonderful time at the eighth-grade prom and were delighted. The food was delicious, the location was excellent, and everything was very well organized. Ms. Monika was especially helpful and made it easy to work out all the details.
