We ended up leaving after two nights of what was meant to be a spontaneous three-night stay. The bedding was clean, but the room made me uncomfortable: there was dust everywhere, the floor was dirty, and the radiators were so filthy that I didn’t want to hang anything on them. I had to clean the bathroom radiator myself so our towels could dry. There were cobwebs too. Dogs are allowed, and we had a small one, but finding somewhere to walk it was difficult. The only patch across the road was a 3x3 square by an intersection. Parking was the only other downside. Wałbrzych is a nice city, but I wouldn’t recommend this accommodation and would look elsewhere.

The listing on Booking.com says pets are allowed. We wrote to say we were bringing a dog, then travelled from the other side of Poland and were refused. If you turn people away, you should at least refund their money. So are dogs accepted or not? The staff were arrogant and had no manners. If you book, the listing needs to clearly explain what is acceptable, because saying pets are allowed isn’t enough. I recommend avoiding the place.

The owner was kind and helpful, and the price was very reasonable. It’s in a great spot, near Żabka and Biedronka, close to bus stops, and within a short walk of Szczawno-Zdrój. The room was very clean and tidy, with an induction cooktop, kettle, refrigerator, dishes, and cutlery. I highly recommend it, and thank the owner for all his kindness.

Our double room was clean, well kept, and fully equipped, with parking almost at the entrance. We recommend room no. 2 and are thinking of coming back for a week next year. The only drawback is getting in and out, since the entrance is at a traffic-light intersection. We recommend the place overall.
