The service was lovely, everyone was friendly and smiling, and we felt very welcome. We had a beautiful stay over Christmas, with only a few things that could be better. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast, including Polish specialties, and it was nicely presented. Some dishes looked better than they tasted because they were dry or underseasoned; the bacon never got crispy, and the scrambled eggs were often watery. The single coffee machine could get busy, though we still found enough good food and liked the sandwiches. We were on the 10th floor and had almost the whole floor for our family, which was great. The rooms were new and clean, with comfortable beds, water, a coffee machine, a kettle, and a fridge. We even got a little Christmas gift, thank you! The lobby is small but nicely decorated. Some rooms felt too warm and others a little cold, and adjusting the air conditioning took a while. Traffic and the air conditioning made the rooms noisy, but earplugs were available and helped. There were only two German TV channels, and just one lift serves the rooms, though it worked fine for us. The hotel is 5-10 minutes on foot from the marketplace, with a tram stop nearby and restaurants and small shops all around. Underground parking is available. For WiFi, connect to "FOCUS". I was impressed by the personal touch in the handwritten note shown in the attached picture. It felt kind and thoughtful. The hotel also has a gym in good condition, and the WiFi stayed stable for streaming, checking accounts, or working on a financial model. The room was clean and modern, with a comfortable bed, two chairs for remote work, a TV like ones I’ve seen in 5-star hotels, a warm bathroom floor, and two packs of earplugs. I’d asked for a room facing the yard, which matters to me and felt unusual compared with places I’ve stayed in France, Spain, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, the UK, and Ireland. Finding my room took 3-5 minutes because the hotel is big. It’s connected to a business center, so it didn’t feel overbooked, and I didn’t hear children screaming or family arguments. The booking information was clear. They accepted a security deposit in euros, which I appreciated, though keep in mind that euros in bills or coins aren’t accepted around Poland the way they are in Brussels. I won’t comment on breakfast, since in Poland food is cooked well and you can eat wherever you like without worrying about getting a stomach ache. I’d recommend it for couples, solo travelers, or families.

Focus Hotel is a Polish chain, and this new property is right beside the old town. The staff were friendly and dependable, and breakfast was generous and tasty. A good choice if you value helpful service and good value for money. Highly recommended.

Our room was kept in good condition, and they replenished the water and tea or coffee each day. Just remember to hang the housekeeping sign if you want your room cleaned. The staff were welcoming, and the hotel itself is new, nicely decorated, and close to the city centre. Getting to our first-floor room was a hassle. We had to take the lift to the sixth floor, walk through a maze of corridors to the other side of the hotel, then take another lift down. The windows also don’t open. The air conditioning worked well, but without fresh air the room felt a bit claustrophobic.
