Hotel Polonia

The smell was so bad it made me want to sleep forever. Outside, it was cars doing burnouts and trams, supposedly relaxing sounds. The food was about as good as the local roommate. The place looks like a warehouse from a horror film. Relaxing experience: 3/10.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Since I had to check out before breakfast started at 8:00, they put together a very basic breakfast to take with me. The room was clean enough, and the location is handy for the train station and public transport. That said, the room looked much more worn than the Booking photos. There were only two sockets, both in one corner, which wasn't enough for the whole room. The Wi-Fi also didn't work reliably throughout my stay. Nothing was a dealbreaker for me this time, but with those conditions, calling it a 3-star hotel feels difficult.

The shower had strong water pressure and the Wi-Fi worked well. Breakfast was more than adequate, with plenty to choose from. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is ideal. It's a good budget hotel, so don't expect luxury; the price reflects that. Everything worked except the TV, which didn't bother me.

Being close to the old town was a real plus, though the trams and traffic made it a bit noisy. The room was spacious and furnished decently, with a reasonably sized LCD TV. We were on the fifth floor, which has been renovated recently. The only thing that bothered us was the low water pressure. The noise was still acceptable.
