Vanilla Hostel Apartments

The building has a great old character, and the apartments are arranged really well for a reasonable price. They’re simply furnished but still cosy, with wood and brick, and honestly feel much better than the word “hostel” suggests. The downtown location puts you close to everything. There’s a handy kitchen unit in the corridor for each group of three or four apartments. You also get keys for the room and extra gates, so you can come and go late without using reception, plus there’s a car park at the back. I’ll be back. Cheers, highly recommended 👌

Clean and quiet, just what I needed.

The location is very good, and the price feels in line with the standard. Just keep in mind it’s a hostel, not a hotel. The rooms are decent, but the beds were uncomfortable, and the small private bathroom wasn’t ideal. There’s a shared kitchen between the rooms with a stove and fridge. We stayed during a heat wave, and the lack of air conditioning was a problem. Parking is behind the building, but the space is tight and difficult to reach.

The staff were amazing and so welcoming, and this is the cleanest hostel I’ve stayed in anywhere in Europe. I’d recommend it to people of any age, including families.
