The breakfast, Szwedzki stół u babuni, was a lovely taste of Polish tradition, with plenty of hams, kiełbasa, and local cheeses. At night, Małgorzata kindly came out on foot to guide us through Zakopane's quiet streets when we arrived a bit lost. That warm welcome set the tone for our stay at Willa Trebunia. Our room felt cosy and full of Podhale character. The wooden details suited Zakopane's traditional style, and I loved the unusual handcrafted look of the ceiling with its rustic sznurek. The bathroom was modern and sleek, and after a long travel day the bed was wonderfully comfortable. It felt like sinking into a cloud. Willa Trebunia made us feel cared for and connected to the heart of Zakopane, as well as giving us a place to sleep. There are benches to relax on in the evening, a spot for BBQ and grilling, and a play area for kids. The large parking lot is at the back. Inside, everything was sparkling clean, from the bedroom and bed to the bathroom and kitchen. Towels, shampoo, and all the hygiene basics were provided. I'd recommend this place 100%!

The hosts are lovely, and there's really good food at the Karczma by the main ticket office. The big draw for ski lovers is how close it is to the Harenda ski lift and the wonderful HSki ski school. Nature lovers have the beautiful 'Rafaczowki' area too, which you can reach by ski lift from Harenda. You can walk toward 'Gubałówka' for a beautiful mountain panorama. In the other direction there are more ski lifts and Mountain Glam Camping, and I didn't explore further, but there is a hiking trail that way. I recommend this place for its lovely hosts and convenient access to the lifts.
