Vistas De La Bahia

We started off impressed: the room was spacious, smelled clean, and looked nice. On a very hot day, we had the pools to ourselves. But when we returned from touring the phosphorescent bay to shower and sleep, the 8-year-old in our group got only a trickle of water. The kitchen pressure was fine, but the bathroom pressure wasn't, and I can't tell if the shower heads were clogged. Some windows were broken or wouldn't shut all the way, and the mattress wasn't great. We made the best of those drawbacks, and others in our group loved the place. It needs more attention to detail.

The two pools are a nice feature, and some rooms have a pretty sea view, especially at sunset. It's conveniently near boquerón but far enough away from the "traffic," and worked well for couples or families. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and when I raised the issues with the front desk, they made it right. Still, the place needs serious repairs. The road to the building is destroyed, and the ramp up to the apartments is basically nonexistent. Furniture is falling apart, and several things were broken, including the kitchen sink hose, bidet, and sink counter. We also had no hot water, then no water at all on our last night. I could put up with that, but the price should reflect the condition of the apartments.

I gave it a 5 for cleanliness, friendly staff, and location. It's a lovely place to relax, not far from spots like boqueron and buye beach. The hot water was iffy, though. I had to run it for a while before it got lukewarm, or maybe that was just in my mind. 😆

The only good thing I can say is that the place was clean. They show pictures of renovated rooms and apartments, but what we found on arrival didn't match what they'd posted. It was an upsetting and disappointing experience, and I won't stay there again. They need to provide the rooms and apartments they advertise. Guests shouldn't have to be offered a switch unless something truly unexpected makes it necessary. It's shameful to do business with false advertising. If this happens to you too, report it. People travel a long way when they're tired, and then don't get what they paid for.
