Walking along the shoreline is one of my favorite things here. Crescent Beach sits inside a large gated community, and the property is well kept. It feels quiet and relaxing.

There was quite a bit of seaweed, but the beach itself was pretty, and it was a nice place to walk or sit and unwind. A red flag was flying, though a few people were swimming. I’m not sure exactly what the flag means. You reach the beach through the resort properties, with a parking lot just before the Wyndam Lobby, across the street from the lobby check-in. There aren’t bathrooms or food there. When we wanted a drink or snack, we usually went to the Wyndam.

It’s part of the larger Palmas De Mar community, and the setting works well for a few days of relaxing or even a retirement lifestyle. The property has lovely views, a big pool, and a large grassy area to lounge in, with the beach right there.

The waves and scenery are beautiful, and it’s easy to get there quickly. Just watch out for rip tides.
