La Playita

We booked at the last minute with nowhere else to stay and found a real little gem. The beach is a 10-second walk away, and the lobby restaurant is handy, with lots of outdoor chairs along the water for a peaceful place to hang out. The restaurant staff were lovely and friendly. The rooms felt homey and rustic, and the hotel staff were amazing. Since parking was one of our worries, it was great to arrive and find a spot waiting for us. They held it for our whole stay, so we always had parking. Thanks to the hotel staff for the hospitality ❤️

A local recommended this place, and we had a fantastic stay. When our flight was cancelled, they managed to fit us in at the last minute. Our host was sympathetic, kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. The beach and views were stunning, and Coco the dog, the cohost, was as sweet and welcoming as could be.

On my first solo trip to Puerto Rico, I found La playita to be a great hotel at a cheap price. The staff were so nice, and the location was perfect, just a one-minute walk to the beach each day. They also have a great restaurant open Friday-Sunday.

Our flight got cancelled, leaving us in San Juan for the evening, and this place was just right. The rooms are basic, but have everything you need. The courtyard's full of beautiful plants. We had dinner last night with delicious cocktails made with natural ingredients, all with a beautiful ocean view. I love this spot!
