Don Rafa Boutique Hotel & Residences

We switched to this hotel after being unhappy with the one we’d originally booked. The place is modern, nicely decorated, and very clean. The beds were pretty comfortable, and the staff were nice. But sleep was a problem. The first night, construction started just outside our window at 7 AM. The next night, I was moved to a room near the front desk, where there was noise all night. For about three hours, between 3 and 6 AM, it sounded like ice was being dumped. There also isn’t much to do right around the hotel, and the location isn’t the best.

This hotel deserves six stars. We’ve travelled all over the world, and the service here stands out for being so personal and professional. Special thanks to Amaury and Alicia for all their support when our flight was delayed by four days.

The breakfasts were good, and I really liked the hotel restaurant. We arrived too late to go elsewhere and were starving, so we gave it a try. The food was way beyond what we expected, and we liked every dish we ordered. The staff were very friendly and helpful, too.

The staff were superb, and the valet team were fantastic young men. We never waited more than three minutes for the car. Our room had a fridge and freezer, and we’d definitely stay again. Miramar is a great area, with lots of restaurants and a grocery store right next door. We felt perfectly safe at night. We started every day on the rooftop pool deck, which we loved. The pool is too cold and only two feet deep, but it works well with floaty chairs, which we always bring.
