Ababor Suites

The hosts made the stay feel like visiting family. Heidi was easy to reach and very accommodating after a hurricane hit the week before I arrived, and her mother (-in-law?) was incredibly helpful too. I stayed in the smaller suite, which was clean and just right, with everything I needed to cook. They’d also thought of the beach basics: bags, towels, and plenty of gear for the water, including kayaks. There’s on-site parking, and the hosts had great recommendations. The gate opens right onto a lovely local beach with clear, shallow water and a giant Puerto Rican flag chair. It felt like a dream. I was too busy to leave an Airbnb review in time, so I’m posting here in case anyone looking on Maps is considering a booking.

The beach beside Ababor is shallow, which made this a really kid-friendly place. Heidi was incredibly helpful, and we loved spending a few days here. One of the best places I’ve stayed anywhere, honestly.

We’re already planning to return to beautiful Vieques and stay here again. The hosts were so friendly and helpful, and the place was spotless and welcoming. Check-in was easy. They had all the beach gear we needed, from towels, chairs, and coolers to snorkeling equipment and sand toys for my son. Such a great place!

This was our second visit, and we came back to celebrate our anniversary after such a good first trip. The owners are warm, helpful, and genuinely hospitable, and they run the place very professionally while making guests feel accommodated. If you want somewhere to unplug, I’d recommend it.
