We stayed last October, then came back hoping some things had improved. The rooms still need redecorating, and WiFi cut out at times, though the air conditioner worked well. The pool was clean, and the friendly room service dealt with any issues right away. It’s in the quiet, safe Montechoro area, about a 15-minute walk to the Strip if you take the shortcut. The return walk is uphill, but there’s a bus stop nearby. It would be helpful to have basics like sugar, salt and pepper, tea, and washing liquid on arrival, so we wouldn’t need to buy large packs.

Amie and Dina are so welcoming, and they speak both English and Portuguese. I love the pool and bar, and they put on gorgeous barbecues regularly. Looking forward to more sunny days here with a cocktail or sangria. I’d really recommend trying one of Dinas White Russians!

The apartment itself was fine, but I wouldn’t recommend this place. Internet and the pool were the two things I checked for when looking for a rental. There was no internet, and the pool was dirty and run down. I asked about it and heard nothing for days. When someone finally replied, they said the pool was seasonal and that they’d send someone to check the internet. Nobody ever came.

There’s lovely scenery here, and even an owl living in the trees. It’s a peaceful place to unwind while still being near both the Old Town and New Town.
