We’ve only been here 20 minutes and are already looking for another hotel. They said it was wheelchair accessible, but it isn’t. There’s a steep hill to reach the apartment, and the doorways are so narrow a wheelchair barely fits through. If you use a wheelchair, don’t come here.

The balcony was disappointing, but that was the only real negative. It’s a good-sized two-bedroom apartment with good facilities, close to everything, and the pool is excellent. There are no sunbeds, just chairs provided by the apartment that you can carry to and from the pool. It was great not having an 8am rush to save beds! A great holiday all round. I’d return.

If you want to be near the beach, the location is excellent. The apartment was clean and well equipped, with good Wi-Fi and a very comfortable bed. My only complaints are that there’s no safe and the English-language TV channels are limited.

We’ve booked here twice now, and this stay we had a two-bedroom apartment; the first time it was a twin room. The place was very clean, with plenty of storage, a big walk-in shower, and all the amenities we needed. It’s handy for food too: Pao da Aldeia, a small Spar, a pizzeria and restaurants are nearby. The Strip is about five minutes away, and the Old Town is a 20-minute walk or a ride on the Tourist Train. Getting around the property is the drawback. There are lots of stairs, the cobbled paving is very uneven and needs attention, especially by the pool, and there’s no handrail on the pool steps or the steep route between blocks. It’s not suitable for people with mobility issues. We’re going back in September.
