Casa do Cabeço

We had a pleasant few days in this good holiday house, and the hosts welcomed us very well. The region is great and the location makes it easy to get to Benedita, where there's everything, as well as beaches like São Martinho do Porto, Nazaré, and Foz do Arelho. That last beach is simply brilliant. The house has four bedrooms, a huge living room, two indoor bathrooms, and a good pool with a supporting bathroom. The outdoor barbecue area and dining room are very pleasant, and everything was clean when we arrived. The kitchen is small, though, and the furniture and TVs are a bit dated, but nothing too unusual. My rating is only 3 because the internet is very weak, the TV has only 6 channels and should have a box, and an odd smell sometimes comes from outside the house, from animals, though that's typical of the region.

The place is handed over very clean, and it has everything for a peaceful countryside stay: four excellent bedrooms, two good indoor bathrooms, a big lounge and a lovely courtyard where pets can be kept. There’s also a spectacular barbecue, a great pool with its own bathroom, and a terrace with wide-open views. The rural setting, quiet, and surrounding animal smells bring a complete sense of peace. Top marks for this house.

The property is new, but the furniture is very old and smells musty. Cleaning was lacking throughout the house. There’s a constant animal smell because sheep and pigs are raised on the property, and the area is very windy.

A really good house, especially if you’re traveling with a big group.
