October 2025 Back at Casa Alva, I enjoyed another week of relaxing in Fernanda’s warm hospitality and very comfortable studio. The countryside around it is stunning, with fabulous beaches a short drive away, a real surfers’ paradise. There’s a huge choice of inexpensive restaurants, and it’s an area where there’s always something new to discover. Highly recommended. Judith Woodford

The house sits in a rural area surrounded by nature, yet the city center is only a couple of minutes away by car. It was perfectly clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen is on the small side but very thoughtfully laid out. You can tell Fernanda put a lot of care into the house. She was caring with us too, and provided a great breakfast selection, with room service as well.

The breakfast was such a lovely way to finish our walking holiday, with all those local flavours. We felt completely at home, thanks to Fernanda, her family and the staff, who made us feel so welcome. The studio was modern and comfortable, with thoughtful environmental touches. We’d happily stay again in a heartbeat.

Fernanda went far beyond what we expected, with daily cleaning, Wi-Fi, fresh water, excellent coffee, and even complimentary cake. She also shared lots of local information and helped with restaurant reservations. Breakfast was available as an extra, not included in the price. The apartments are beautiful, set in lovely natural surroundings. Fantastic!

The room was cosy, modern, very clean, and had a great bed. We got all the local information and recommendations we needed, and breakfast was amazing, with plenty of local choices. Fernanda and her family made us feel so welcome. We already miss the place and Aljezur, especially its beautiful beaches.
