Check-in and check-out both went really smoothly. The apartment was very clean, and the cleaning staff came by every day. The parking area is small, but we always managed to get a space.

The location is perfect, and getting in with the code was really easy. We stayed for two nights, and it was quiet and secure. The rooms were very clean and were cleaned every day.

The cleaning was outstanding, the best thing about this accommodation. We didn’t cook, though the kitchen seemed well equipped, and the location was quite good. It’s an okay place for one or two nights. Parking was the worst part. The entrance is quite narrow, so be careful with a big car. We found there was no space left after driving in, and had to maneuver in reverse. If parking is included, there should be a spot for every guest. I’d suggest checking on foot before driving in. The bed wasn’t very comfortable and made noise whenever we turned or moved at night. Our bedroom window faced the entrance street, and it got quite noisy, especially when other guests came in and used the door code. Not the best place for light sleepers.

The small breakfast delivered each morning was delightful, and changed a little from day to day so it didn’t get boring. I’d definitely recommend this apartment and a trip to Madeira. It felt like home: clean, tidy, and comfortable, with spectacular views from both windows. The apartment is in a beautiful part of Madeira’s old town, on a quiet little street about two or three minutes’ walk from the main street with restaurants and cafés, and less than five minutes from the sea.
