Sunset House

My attic room at Sunset house stayed pleasantly cool enough for sleeping, though I'd still leave the door open in the evening. It's a great value place, reasonably comfortable, and more or less in the middle of the island. The view is amazing. The house has what you need: fridge, freezer, a big kitchen with all the equipment, toaster, oven, kettle, and free tea and coffee. Calheta Beach is nearby for a swim, though I'd go early in the morning. The landlords are pleasant and helpful, quickly show you around, and will provide fresh clean towels if you want them.

The hosts are really kind and helpful. A perfect base for exploring Madeira.

This was my first trip to Madeira, and it couldn't have gone better. The owners are great, and I felt at home with them. Everything was spotless, with clean sheets and towels, and I plan to come back very soon. It was my dream holiday! The house is huge, with loads of space, a garage for cars, a fully equipped kitchen, and a balcony running along the place. From the splendid rooftop on top of the hill, you can take in the sunset. The view is incomparable, the best on the whole island!

I booked two nights without expecting much, and ended up really surprised. The house is big, the kitchen is nice and has everything, and the views are great. Everything was easy, with quick replies and a super nice host. Can only recommend!
