The hosts, Sylvia and Rutz/Ruta, made our stay feel really homely. Sylvia arranged a wine tasting evening, and they took care of everything well in advance. She also sorted out vegan milk and lactose-free cheese for me, and Rut made eggs or omelets to order at breakfast. There was a coffee and tea corner with cookies available around the clock, too. We loved the view from the room, and the location worked well for exploring: Régua is about a 10-15 minute drive away, with Lamego farther along and beautiful in its own way. I also enjoyed walking among the vineyards and olive trees, which was relaxing. The pool was closed while we were there, unfortunately. A few small things would make the room more convenient: a glass or holder by the washbasin for toiletries, a tissue box, and something to help with the slightly stale smell in the closed bathroom.

The pool was a lovely bonus on a sunny day, and breakfast was excellent. We came for somewhere to relax away from the city, and the Mountain house had a breathtaking view. The Douro Valley has such a special atmosphere.

We stayed in the last cabin, and it felt super romantic. The Quinta is outside amarmar in the Dipro valley, with good rooms, a great breakfast, and amazing staff.

The room was spacious, really clean, and had a cozy terrace looking out at a wonderful view. Breakfast was great, and the staff were kind and super friendly. We had a great time and would definitely come back.
