It’s a distinctive place to stay in a small town, carefully refurbished from the original building to a very high standard. Just bear in mind that it may be difficult for anyone with walking difficulties.

We had a lovely room, and the owner was very friendly. Breakfast was excellent, with homemade pastries included. The place is welcoming and right in the town center, close to a bar, supermarket, and restaurants.

Filipa looked after us so well, she was a delight, and I’ll definitely come back. It’s a peaceful spot, with no noise at all, great for switching off, hiking, and walking the 20 minutes to the bridge. There’s also a nearby café serving food, coffee, and beer. The house has been renovated with loads of style and attention to detail. It’s an old granite building with wooden floors, several upstairs bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and separate entrance, either from the street or inside. Downstairs there’s a big living room and shared kitchen. The beds are superb, the showers are fantastic, and it has everything you could need.
