Herdade Dos Coelheiros

This review is about the restaurant. We were two people and ordered one portion of a dish listed at 10€ on the menu, clearly saying we'd share it. When we finished, the waitress told us the bill was 20€, without giving us a paper bill. Since we'd only also ordered water and a coffee, we asked why. The waitress said the dish was 15€ plus the drinks. We repeated that we'd ordered one portion, and he kept saying yes, yes, it was 15€. When we pointed out the menu price was 10€, he said he'd made it 1.5 portions. That made no sense to me. He then changed it to 10€ for the food and 15€ total. I still thought 5€ for a water and coffee was odd in the interior of Portugal, so I asked for an itemized paper bill. It came to 13.5€. I have no words. This showed a big lack of principles, and I don't recommend the place at all. We're Portuguese, so I can't imagine how they try to scam foreigners here.

I’m rating the restaurant, not the hotel. The food was great, the service was good, and the price was amazing.

Lovely rooms and a pool, with really good value and great food.

They treated us like family, and the food was brilliant for such a fantastic price!
