The people were nice, and the beds were comfortable enough, I guess. It also wasn't expensive. Still, I was relieved to leave. Everything smelled damp, there was no hot water anywhere, and there wasn't any toilet paper in the bathroom, so you had to carry your own around. It's a 40-minute walk, about 3 km, from Aveiro. The place made me feel like a chicken boxed into a cage.

The employees were nice, and the backyard was a plus, but those were the only things I liked about my three nights. The listing said I had a separate room, but it didn't feel independent at all. The wooden walls were only 1.80 meters high, and the setup felt like a chicken cage. A group of boys staying there showed no respect: at one in the morning they were on the phone, playing videos, banging things, ripping plastic bags, and eating soup and other strongly smelling food in a space meant for sleeping. Asking them to be considerate made no difference. It was definitely the worst hostel experience I've had.
