The hosts made check-in really easy and were friendly, helpful, and ready with tips. The apartment was great for either a short visit or a longer stay, with all the amenities we needed. There’s a beautiful viewpoint just a few minutes away, buses to different parts of Sintra nearby, and a couple of shops and several restaurants in the neighborhood. Such a lovely place and location.

It’s easy to get there by car or bus 54, and there’s free parking. Keep in mind there are no public stores, so bring drinks and food from home if you don’t want to have lunch at one of the restaurants. It’s one of the most beautiful areas I’ve visited in Portugal. The beach, mountains, and rocks are breathtaking, and the natural pool and buildings overlooking it make the scenery even better.

The host left some special treats that we really appreciated. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked, with cooking tools, plenty of cutlery, oil, salt, and pepper. I told my husband it was clear a woman had stocked the apartment! It was cosy, clean, and full of character, even nicer than the photos. The bed was comfortable, the wifi and hot water worked well, and the charming bedroom skylight had blinds to close it. There were extra blankets, soap, and towels too.

A lovely rental that stayed cool in the heat and had everything we needed. There are three restaurants in the village. One is closed on Sundays and Mondays, and you need to book ahead at Azanhas do Mar. Adega Das Azenhas is a nice family-run spot a short walk away.
