Len and Isobel made the stay especially memorable. They were warm and kind throughout, offered helpful suggestions for restaurants and places to visit, and shared interesting, fun conversations with us. It was a great chance to practice our English, and their two dogs came by for cuddles too. They even sent us off with homemade biscuits and wonderful avocados, a lovely gesture that touched us. The breakfasts were the best I've had at a local accommodation or hotel, with fresh ingredients from the orchard. The restored stone house is beautiful, with modern amenities, comfortable rooms, green spaces and fruit trees, and a lovely infinity pool. Everything felt welcoming and in harmony. I wanted for nothing and felt at home. Coming back to our cosy room at day's end and seeing the starry sky was wonderful. It was a perfect stay. Len and Isobel have set the bar so high that we just want to return!

Villa Isobel is a great base for Braga, Guimaraes and the nearby towns, hiking tracks, bike trails, mountain waterways and lakes. Isobel and Len shared lots of useful recommendations for places to see, eat, walk and experience in Nth Portugal. The rooms, beds, pool and outdoor areas are outstanding, and so are the homemade biscuits, olives, jams, expertly made espresso coffees and cooked breakfast. The guesthouse pairs boutique luxury and all the bells and whistles with the feeling of a warm, comforting hug. If you're anywhere near Braga, Portugal, it's a must stay. We'd come back in a heartbeat. Best wishes to Isobel, Len, Marco and Cleo until we meet again.

We had a lovely few days at Villa Isobel in June. The views are fabulous, and the infinity pool was perfect for cooling off. The accommodation felt both luxurious and comfortable. Isobel and Len were wonderful hosts, serving a delicious breakfast, suggesting things to do nearby, and making conversation a pleasure.

That pool view over the valley, with Braga in the distance, is unforgettable. We tried to get tired of looking at it, but couldn't. Isobel and Len's home is full of charm and history, and we had two wonderful days there. Thank you for the warm welcome, your kindness, the delicious breakfasts, and the lovely time we spent together. Isobel's scrambled eggs deserve a Michelin star! Isobel and Len are hosts through and through. They've created a wonderful, luxurious guesthouse with three rooms for a maximum of eight guests. Villa Isobel and its lovely hosts deserve more than 5 stars. Thank you so much.
