The apartment was spacious and clean, but mine had no heater and got really cold. Most of the other rooms seemed to have AC for heating, so check that yours does before renting. Also, by mistake we went into a different apartment and our key opened that one too. It may open every apartment, so don’t leave valuables behind, and leave the key in the door overnight.

I booked at the last minute and was pleasantly surprised. The apartment was roomy, clean, and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The landlord, a very nice guy from Chile, left us a welcome basket with canned sardines and suggested some good places to explore in the city.

We stayed at Appartement Rue de Ceuta 33 Porto from 9 till 16 april 2022, through Spot Appartments. The bedrooms smelled bad, possibly because of the fungus on the walls, and maybe the mattress too. It was very dirty, with a used handkerchief in the bed. The wardrobes also smelled, so we didn’t want to put our clothes in them. The showers were rusty and possibly had fungus as well. There were other problems too: broken scissors that could hurt someone, damaged furniture, a rusty laundry rack, and a door that looked smashed and badly repaired. After two days, the manager offered breakfast as compensation and said they’d send cleaning twice. We asked for the mattress to be replaced immediately, and they did replace it. The house belongs to someone else, and the manager said he couldn’t decide not to rent it out. So tourists in Porto will keep being sent there. A big shame on Spot Appartments.

The apartments were exceptionally clean and well equipped, and the location was excellent. Check-in was handled professionally. A great place to stay in Porto.

Spotlessly clean and great value, with a fantastic central location. The main metro station is only about three minutes away.
