Terrabona Nature & Vineyards

We stayed four nights in the Natural Winehouse, and the room was much bigger than expected, with a lovely private outdoor space. There was daily cleaning and a choice of breakfast options, and the sauna and heated pool are nice extras if you want them. The location made it easy to get along the North coast, and Funchal was still only about 45 minutes away, so don't let the distance put you off. Marco, Maria, and the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful from arrival through departure. From the first day, you could see how much care they'd put into making the stay feel unusual and relaxing. We can't recommend Terrabona enough and are already looking forward to coming back.

Maria and Marco are wonderful hosts, and the wine tasting in its beautiful setting was a highlight. They're clearly passionate about the wine, and it comes through. The villas have an exceptional layout and design, while the pool and sauna sit in a lovely, distinctive spot. Everything feels peaceful, and the location is easy to reach, with places to visit right nearby or a short drive away. Treat yourself to some time here.

We picked this lovely place for my wife's birthday, and the high expectations were met. Set right in a vineyard, it's quiet and remote, yet well equipped, with friendly service and amazing food. The Green and the Sea seem to be around you all the time. If you love Madeira, you'll love it here. Thanks to Maria, Marco, Nivelda, and the whole team for making the trip memorable.

My wife and I came for a small-group wine tasting and were blown away by the beautiful property and peaceful atmosphere. The wine was fantastic, and Marco and Maria's pride and passion for it were easy to sense. I'd highly recommend the tasting to anyone visiting Madeira.
