The setting is the highlight: high on the mountain, with a pretty park in front and Dom Jesus do Monte nearby. There isn’t much else right around the hotel. Breakfast was nice, and the rooms were decent, but the shower kept swinging from cold to hot. The air conditioning only blew warm air because it was centrally controlled. I asked whether it could be changed, but nothing improved.

The park across from the hotel was peaceful and pleasant when the weather allowed, though our stay was foggy and rainy. Getting there without a car seems difficult: it’s up on a hill, far from town, and feels like the middle of nowhere. Staff were okay, but breakfast was very poor, with no vegetables, and the coffee was bad.

A basic place to stay between journeys, set in a lovely spot. Nice for a walk in the morning or evening.

The staff were really nice, and the wifi worked fairly well. My room, though, had damp patches and badly needs updating. The walls seemed paper thin, since I could hear everything happening outside all night. Breakfast was very sparse: bread rolls and fruit, with even the juice served in tiny thimble-sized glasses.

The park is the real reason to come here, especially if you love nature. The hotel sits high on Bom Jesus hill in Braga, close to the sights, and the setting is breathtaking. The room was simple, but clean, comfortable, and spacious enough. Breakfast was a decent continental spread. It’s a basic hotel, with nothing fancy in the room.
