Ninho do Melro

We felt at home from the moment we arrived at O Ninho de Melro. The house exceeded our expectations, with lots of space and everything impeccably equipped. The books and games add a cultural touch that really makes a difference. Ten out of ten for the hospitality and all the thoughtful details!

The stay itself was fine, I can’t deny that, but the address on Booking.com needs correcting, and perhaps on other sites too. The place is in Rabal, not Braganza, and it’s over 15 minutes away. Rabal is a village with nothing to offer. Giving the right location matters, and we felt cheated.

The bedrooms were spotless and very comfortable, from the mattresses to the sheets and towels. It’s a welcoming place and especially pleasant in winter, with a great fireplace, plenty of firewood and heating throughout the house. We’ll definitely return!

We were six adults and two children, and loved our stay. The owner was lovely, super friendly, and walked us through everything, including where to shop and where the nearest pharmacy was. The house has all you need to unwind away from your routine, and it’s about 15 minutes from Bragança, so it’s easy to find. The photos really don’t do it justice; the place is much cooler in person. We’ll definitely come back.
