São Roque Hotel & Suites

The service was really bad, and there was no respect for the clients 👎

We found it clean and well located, with a spacious room. Breakfast was included, and there were also two beers, two juices, and two bottles of water waiting in the fridge at no charge. Great value for money.

We could hear dogs barking in the hallway around 8:00 in the mornings, and the hotel does accept pets. One day, a couple brought a huge German Shepherd into the breakfast room. I didn’t find that very hygienic, and the breakfast staff didn’t say anything. That was the downside of a stay that was otherwise very nice for several days. The hotel is opposite the castle, and the big windows give the rooms great views on both sides. The room and bathroom are a bit dated, but perfectly fine, and there’s a refrigerator. They left two beers, two bottles of water, and two packs of Oreo cookies free of charge, which was a really nice touch. Breakfast was very good, with coffee, toast, juice, croissants, cereal, butter, jam, and some cold cuts. The waitress was super friendly.

We had a very spacious, comfortable family room with lovely views of the castle. The hotel isn’t modern, but it’s very clean and well maintained, and the staff are really friendly. Breakfast is included, and it’s excellent value for money.
