Foz do Arelho and the nearby cities are wonderful, but the property itself was a huge disappointment. The photos are old and don’t reflect reality, and the house isn’t even green. Bring matches if you want to start the decades-old heater. The hot plates don’t work, so don’t count on cooking anything hot. Most reviews are four years old. I’d recommend INATEL Foz do Arelho Hotel instead. It might cost a hundred bucks more, but that money would be much better spent. I’m pretty sure the owner was under the influence. After days of messaging Airbnb to get a refund, I think the owner should have been banned by now.

A nice place.

Eduardo was so generous and attentive, and we felt at home in the quiet, comfortable apartment. The scenery is lovely, and the beaches are easy to get to. We'd happily return, and I definitely recommend it.

We've spent three summers here already, and we're sure to come back. The owner is friendly and always happy to help. It's a great base for a family holiday, with Foz do Arelho, Caldas da Rainha, Óbidos, and plenty of other places to visit nearby.
4/10
The bed sinks in the middle and is really uncomfortable. The furniture is all very old, and there isn't a TV or parking. The listing says there's Wi-Fi, but there wasn't any. I contacted the person in charge and got no reply or solution. I really didn't like it and wouldn't recommend it.
