The store and cafe were closed the night I stayed, even though the website said they should be open. They were open the next morning, though. The facilities have been renovated recently and are quite nice, and the site is close to town. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the campsites were pretty good.

The staff at Orbitur Foz do Arelho were consistently friendly, welcoming and helpful. My family and I loved our week there, staying in a 2+2 bungalow and camping too. It's a green, peaceful place, with light shade through the day and a nice mix of nature, comfort and family activities. We spent time at the spacious pool, where there was entertainment for kids, and also used the football pitch and games room. The site has clean toilets and showers, a self-service laundrette, snack-bar, mini-bar and camper services. The facilities were excellent and well maintained. We spent most of our time at the scenic Óbidos Lagoon and its golden beaches. INTERTAIDAL is great for kayaking, stand-up paddle and other water sports. The fortified city of Óbidos and Caldas da Rainha are also local heritage spots, about 10 minutes away by car. We always had lunch in Foz do Arelho. We'd recommend “Ondas Bar Taverna” by the sea and “Central” in the center. Afterwards, we liked getting a coffee at “Maria Gulosa” and having a “Bola de Berlim”, a delicious pastry Portuguese people love at the beach. We had an unforgettable week and highly recommend Orbitur Foz do Arelho to families like ours.

The reception welcome was terrible, and there was a cold shower. A karaoke night near the swimming pool was so noisy, with no consideration for people who needed to get up early the next morning. Prices are above average, but the conditions don't match. A bad experience. I won't return to Orbitur.

The lagoon and beach are very close, just a 5-10 minute walk from the camping park. Caldas da Rainha is about 15 minutes away by car, with all kinds of supermarkets and shops. The place itself is well organized, beautiful and peaceful, with good facilities, including a swimming pool, shaded green areas, a motorhome station, minimarket and bar. The staff are friendly and helpful.
