Our stay at Quinta do Mocho was wonderful, and we’d definitely return. We spent a week there last summer as a couple with our five-year-old. It’s a quiet rural residential area, close to coastal towns, and a great base for exploring the Algarve by car. The nearest town is three minutes away by car and has a large supermarket for everything you need. The house is lovely and has all the amenities for a great holiday, as well as a garden and private parking. They rent two other cottages, but each sits on a separate plot, so you hardly see the other guests and get plenty of privacy. The pool is shared, though we had it to ourselves every afternoon. The owners were friendly and discreet. They gave us brochures and tips for making the most of our holiday, and offered van tours and activities with pickup at the house. We booked a boat trip to the coastal caves, which I highly recommend.
