We had a nice experience overall, and it felt like a good four-star weekend rather than five-star luxury. The setting is super beautiful, with a great private beach and places to explore, and it’s good for families with kids. Our apartment was a bit unlucky: the AC didn’t work, nor did the bathroom floor heating. The kitchen was okay but had very few utensils, with no knife or kitchen towel. We brought our own wood for the fireplace, since there was no wood or fire starter, even though every apartment has a fireplace. The Spalba was quite nice, but the Jacuzzi stayed cold. The Hammann worked, though the water hose didn’t. In winter, breakfast is à la carte and okay, but didn’t feel very five-star to me. There was no salmon, and I would have liked to operate the coffee machine myself.

We had a fantastic stay at the end of February. The location is perfect for reaching all the attractions in the Algarve by car, and the staff are super friendly.

The location is amazing, the room and amenities were very nice, and breakfast was wonderful. The staff there were fantastic. Housekeeping was hit and miss, though, and only came twice during my eight-day stay. A lunch option would be nice.

The location is great, close to the beach with beautiful views, but there’s no public transport, so you need to rent a car. Breakfast was decent and offered a good variety. Dinner was a real letdown: the portions were small, the prices high, and the food tasteless. For a five-star resort, that dinner quality was unacceptable. I’d suggest driving to nearby towns to eat. The room facilities also felt somewhat outdated, and the building had the musty smell you get in old buildings.
