A basic hotel stay, a bit like a hostel but a little better. The rooms were OK. If you speak Portuguese, you’ll probably get on better than if you rely on English, which may be useful to know. The walk from the hotel to the store is a bit awkward, though that’s not the hotel’s responsibility. Cascais is beautiful and has loads to offer. I love it here, and my parents stayed at this hotel when they visited.

We waited outside for 45 minutes in the cold and rain at night before a staff member finally let us in. The rooms weren’t clean, and both the hotel and the rooms smelled bad. The air machine was so loud it was impossible to sleep, but without it, we were freezing. Terrible. I’m never coming back.

Good value, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s beside Cascais shopping centre and not far from some nice restaurants. The hotel is next to a motorway, so it’s best if you have your own transport. From there you can get to Lisbon and the beaches. I’d recommend it if you have a car.
