Martinhal Cascais Lisbon Luxury Resort Hotel

The modern villa we stayed in was airy, and it was so quiet around us that we slept really well. Breakfast was fabulous, especially with Alvaro greeting us warmly each morning. It's a lovely, peaceful area with good facilities and family activities. We didn't try the spa or golf, though I heard they're good. The location is a bit out of the way, so you'll need the hotel shuttle, a ride share, or a rental car.

The place was quiet, modern, and nicely located. But we had limited access to the facilities, which made it a poor fit for kids and families. The indoor playroom was booked for a private party, the outdoor pools were reserved for a private event, and children could only use the pool at certain times. Some facilities also came with extra costs that weren't obvious. I asked for toilet paper five times and it never arrived. As an IHG Reward Member, I also wasn't granted a late checkout. Three stars, and we'll choose another hotel next time.

The breakfast had a decent range, and the hotel was quiet and peaceful, with few children around while we were there. We were two couples visiting in mid-June, and had a really enjoyable stay. The rooms were very spacious and luxurious, with lots of room to relax. Though it was summer, the hotel wasn't too busy. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and Cascais and the beautiful coast are just a short drive away. The egg station could be run better: a couple of omelette orders got mixed up between tables. Only plain or egg-white omelettes were included, and with the room prices, I would have liked more egg dishes as standard. We didn't use the pools or spa, so I can't comment on them, but the gym felt dated and underwhelming compared with the rest of the hotel. It's a beautiful setting, with a few things that could be improved to match the five-star feel.

The staff made our birthday-surprise plans feel special from the first moment I got in touch. Luiza and Alfonso were especially warm, thoughtful, and professional, and their care made the trip unforgettable. We had a beautiful, spacious room overlooking the golf course, which added to the peaceful, luxurious feel. On the Cascais coast, Onyria Marinha sits in a breathtaking, serene neighborhood, with beaches, restaurants, and local charm easy to reach. It was a flawless five-star stay, and I think Onyria Marinha sets a world-class standard for hospitality. If you're thinking about staying here, book it without hesitation!
