The one positive was that the room seemed clean, but it still had a persistent mould smell, and mould was everywhere. The furniture was shabby and old, and the public stairs felt completely unsafe, especially for children and older people. There was no reception or useful help. We needed another set of linen, but nobody could provide it after 17:00. Breakfast was very poor and not tasty, and coffee cost extra. A terrible experience, the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

We had a marvellous time in the apartment after the heater problem on the first night was fixed. The host helped as much as they could remotely. GuestReady handled our Christmas arrival professionally, gave clear instructions, and replied promptly to all my questions, even before check-in. The location had a great view over the park and river, and we enjoyed walking to the old comercial street despite the road works in town. There wasn't a cafe or bakery, or a supermarket, within walking distance.

Inside, the rooms are beautiful and modern, and breakfast arrives at your door in an adorable basket with enough to keep you full until lunch. The location isn't the best in Coimbra, but we had a good stay apart from check-in. Getting in was a mess. The front doors use a code, but when we knocked, nobody answered. We called and were told we'd reached the wrong number. Luckily, other guests let us in. Two women then told us a code for the outside door and another for our room key had been sent, but we hadn't received anything. They spoke to us as if we were dumb, which wasn't a good first impression. There's also nobody there at any time if you need help. Other than that, everything went well.

Traveling with three kids can be tough, but this charming, kid-friendly property had all the comforts my family needed. They brought breakfast each morning in a cute little basket. We'd definitely come back.

Communication with GuestReady was quick and easy, and the apartment was just as it appeared in the pictures. It was clean and conveniently placed in the city center. We had a great time and would absolutely recommend staying there.
