The hosts were really accommodating. On my last day, they even left breakfast outside my room because I had an early checkout. I stayed a few nights while visiting Coimbra, and the cozy, stylish rooms were just as described. I’d happily come back. The only adventure was Google Maps sending me from the train station up what felt like endless stairs, so with heavy luggage, I’d take a taxi or plan the route better than I did.

Wonderful holiday, with helpful, knowledgeable staff from Amsterdam and a great breakfast. Casa is surprisingly large, though the rooms are a little aged. There’s a lovely garden at the back, and it’s beautifully placed for the University in a student neighborhood. Think sophisticated Coimbra rather than unwashed scholars. TAXI ESSENTIAL!! (back of University).

The staff are wonderful and always happy to offer useful advice. This beautiful little guesthouse is in the heart of Coimbra’s old town, close to the university, cathedrals, and the main attractions.

The views are lovely, the location is ideal, and the price is great. We had a wonderful night at Casa Pombal, and they were very accommodating for our family of five, including a baby. Everyone enjoyed the included breakfast.

It’s near the city center, and the view is great. The house is old and vintage, and the bathroom is shared, so you have to be okay with that. The accommodation is good despite the age of the house. This was my third time here.
