8/10
The room was quiet and generally clean, and self check-in was easy to manage with clear instructions. Alma shopping center is only a 5-10 minute walk away. The setup felt a bit like a student flat, with a shared bathroom and no kitchen. The microwave and other bits were kept in the room, so it felt cluttered, and some people in the building seemed a little dodgy.

The key pickup was confusing: the owner sent instructions to get them from a garage outside the building, using a code to open the Volt and retrieve the keys. I’d look for somewhere else to stay in Coimbra. I wouldn’t trust him.

The room was a fair size and had an upgraded bathroom. The owners were friendly, and it’s fairly close to the main sights and the city center. A decent option for budget travelers.

The room was tiny, and the bathroom was shared. It’s fine if you only need somewhere for one night.
