NJOY Coimbra

Bruno, who looks after the property, went out of his way to help us. My wife and I spent four days in the apartment and found it spacious and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the university. It’s also very centrally located. We hope to return next year.

We had a wonderful four-night stay at Njoy. My room was pleasant and modern, in a secure building on a safe street, and the management provided very good service. There’s a large communal kitchen and dining area with all the utensils and utilities. Coimbra itself felt peaceful, authentic, and safe. The location isn't super central, but the walks were a real pleasure at different times of day, even in the evening. We made the routes several times: past Praca Republica and Santa Cruz Park, then Museum Machado and the university, and down to Largo da Portagem and Dr Manuel Braga Park. On the way back, we varied the route to pass the Old Cathedral of St Mary. Those walks took us through little alleyways and charming, sometimes run-down old buildings, with views of the hilly town and students and academics passing by. For trips to or from Coimbra-B station, you can take an Uber.

It's quiet and works well for a short stay, with everything within walking distance. The rooms are clean and nice, the bed is comfy, and the bathroom is spacious.

We had a lovely stay. The room was clean and decent, and we especially enjoyed the balcony, with its great view and sunset. Bruno was available whenever we had a question or needed anything. Thank you!
