Villa Pedra Natural Houses

There’s so much scenery and history nearby that I wish we’d had a lot longer to explore it all. The setting itself is secluded and amazing, and the houses were beautiful and kept immaculate. Reception was very helpful, with several good suggestions for making the most of our stay. The pool was lovely and refreshing too. I hope to return to villa pedra.

The breakfast delivery was a real treat: fresh bread and cakes in the morning, with cheeses, butter, cold cuts, honey, jams, and yogurt replenished during the day. It felt a bit like staying in a hotel. The hostess also shared useful tips, and the thoughtfully put together website listed local restaurants and places to see nearby. The villas are quiet and private, each with its own garden, and the small village has shared gardens and a saltwater pool. They’ve been rebuilt with today’s comforts while keeping their original warmth. A lovely, relaxing holiday. We’d happily come back.

We stayed in the Cherry villa, which was beautiful and had a gorgeous view over the valley. The location is rural, so you really need a car. We visited the incredible Conimbriga ruins, and Coimbra is close enough for a day trip. Priscilla was kind and responsive at check-in and with recommendations. The pool was small and full of exuberant kids while we were there, so we didn’t use it. We loved our three nights and will definitely stay again.

The houses are spacious and amazing, and the pool area is wonderful. Villa Pedra feels like a village from the Middle Ages, with beautiful scenery looking out toward the mountains of Coimbra. My family and I had a wonderful vacation here. Priscila, the administrator, was lovely and incredibly helpful. Highly recommended.
