I had to stay out of certain rooms for several days, and the safety measures I had explained were vital for my anaphylactic allergy were never put in place during my two-week stay. They had promised to do so before I arrived, even though they knew how serious the allergy was and I reminded them just days beforehand. After the trip, I emailed to explain what had happened and how badly it was handled. I was told I must be mistaken because the local team said they had dealt with it well, despite the evidence I provided. At this point, all I can do is leave this review and alert the anaphylaxis society so others with health concerns know to avoid this place.

Just five minutes from the beach, with a relaxed, youthful feel and friendly staff. A great choice for the price.

This might suit teenagers, but we've stayed in better hostels for less. The bed was a single with an old mattress and hard pillows, and the shared bathroom lock barely worked. No soap in the rooms or bath, and no hairdryers. Breakfast coffee was instant only. If you ate breakfast or used a glass, you had to wash your own dishes. Doors slammed and people talked loudly. Parking cost $5 a day if a space was available. There was no elevator or help with bags, and our room was on the third floor.

My wife and I found it a wonderfully quiet place to get away from the usual routine and rest. The little touches made a real difference, from reception through to the accommodations. Everything about our stay was amazing, and we'd highly recommend it.
