Casa Soure Suites & Apartments

Casa Soure keeps cold filtered water available, with a carafe for the room, along with coffee and tea supplies. The chilled water was especially welcome in the summer heat, and the room rates were very reasonable. We loved the restaurant downstairs, Nã t’Acho, and wouldn't miss it. We went on Saturday when a very talented musician was playing, then opened the upstairs balcony and relaxed while listening to her second set. On our last night we ordered cheese and jam to take away, put it in the room fridge, and ate it for breakfast before hitting the road. The suites really do look like the pictures. Our room was gorgeous and peaceful, with high plaster ceilings and hardwood floors. The larger rooms are on the second floor facing an inner courtyard, with some privacy and an outdoor cafe table. The smaller rooms are still giant, with doors opening onto Juliet balconies. They face either a picturesque little square, which was pretty quiet on Saturday night, or the restaurant courtyard, with a view of an old church that rings from time to time.

We had to catch a train before breakfast, so the staff thoughtfully brought a picnic basket of breakfast treats the night before. It was delicious. The room at Casa Soure was beautiful, and I slept really well. Other reviewers called it loud, but I didn't find that at all. It's close to everything, yet in a slightly quieter area. I wish we could've stayed longer.

We spent one night here during a road trip and had a great stay. The flat was cozy and modern. Evora is a very old Portuguese town.

It's a nice place run by nice people, but the street is only about 8 feet from where you sleep. It runs between the nightclub and the university, and the wall doesn't block the noise from the drunken scum. They woke me up every night, more than once. I stayed here for work for 3 months and got an uninterrupted night's sleep only about 5 days in all that time.
