I used to stay here for 18€, but now a dorm bed costs 35€, which is outrageous. The place is clean and friendly, though noise insulation is poor and you can hear everything outside. Given that you’re sharing a room with 12 others, that’s part of the situation.

Dinner was easy to find on foot, with plenty of places close by, and the hostel sits right in the city centre. I liked choosing my breakfast in advance and setting the time. It was good, and on my last morning they packed one for me when I had to catch the 7am train to Lisbon. From the station you can take an Uber for €4.00 or walk about 15 minutes. I stayed several nights, though Évora would also make a worthwhile day trip or overnight stop while travelling between Portuguese cities.

We were very happy with our stay in July 2024. Our private room had its own balcony, was immaculate, and the hostel was quite peaceful. The only thing that bothered us was access: the front door stays locked, which is fine, but you have to wait for a staff member to let you in.

I only booked one night and ended up wishing I could stay longer. It was the nicest hostel I've stayed in, with lovely interiors, comfortable beds, good facilities, and a great location. Olinda and Rita made me feel really welcome and looked after me well, including sorting out breakfast and keeping my luggage. Thank you!

It was a little quiet when I visited, probably because I was there in October. Still, this was the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed in, and the beds were super comfortable. The lounge was cosy, with power outlets for a laptop, and felt pretty luxurious after other hostels. Totally recommend.
