Coração de Fátima Hotel

Just a stone's throw from the magnificent Basilica of Fatima, this fantastic hotel is well placed for a peaceful break or a religious visit. A great spot to stay.

I left my retainers at the hotel and called to ask if anyone had seen them. They told me personal items are always put in the bin, so be careful with your belongings. I had to pay €200 for new retainers. Thanks, Coração de Fatima team! We stayed for 2 nights and had asked for 2 single beds, but were given a double. The rooms are very small. The trainee at the front desk was rude and unhelpful. She didn’t greet us, speak, or smile, and gave us no information. It felt like I was the one working there, and like she wasn’t happy in her job. Breakfast was a disaster, with very little choice. I asked for gluten free bread and was told I needed to request it, but nobody had told me that beforehand.

I stayed here in June during one of the heatwaves, and had some trouble with the air conditioning, but I let it be. I loved my stay. The rooms made me feel like a queen, and the staff were so kind and welcoming. They were polite and quick to help.

What made the stay pleasant was how Ana, Soraya, and Tanya treated us. Ana welcomed us, explained everything about our stay, and suggested places worth visiting. Soraya and Tanya were friendly and lovely on the following days, and the restaurant staff were attentive and made us feel special. The hotel itself looks very nice and comfortable, and its location is stupendous, just a 3 minute walk from the Sanctuary. Our room was narrow, though, and the bathroom didn’t look like the ones in the pictures. The shower was very basic, with a troublesome door, and there wasn’t even a soap or shampoo tray. The room also wasn’t spotlessly clean when we arrived.
