Good spot, and the hostel is clean and inexpensive.

I paid 100 euros for a room whose door had no handle on the inside. In an emergency or evacuation, I wouldn't know how to get out without shouting for help. Renting a room in that condition is completely unprofessional. When I raised the problem, the owner/landlady didn't seem able to sort it out. There was hair on the beds and dirt under the bed. Simply deplorable. As a landlord myself, I'd be ashamed to charge these prices for a room that wouldn't even pass a public health inspection. The best thing about it was the exit door, even without the handle.

A lovely hostel in a charming little town, only about five minutes on foot from the huge, beautiful beach. It's spotlessly clean, and the friendly staff really do their best to make your stay pleasant. Great value for the money.

It really feels like being at home, and even in a hostel we had some privacy. The mattress was good, the kitchen was well equipped, and there was a washer and dryer, along with good bathrooms and showers. The location is great too, right in central Figueira, near the market, marina, and seafront.
