I don't usually write reviews, but the location of Lodge 67 was so ideal that I wanted to mention it. Cecelia, Alan and the team looking after the apartment were excellent too. The apartment is next to the old town and close to everything. There's a supermarket about 50 yrds away, plus lots of cafes and an ice parlour with such good products that people come from all over. My wife was disappointed at first that there was no terrace or pool access, but a kind lady at a nearby hotel helped arrange access to the roof pool and terrace, so that worked out. The main harbor area was under construction when we visited. It was a bit rough then, though it should be really good when it's finished, which was expected by Sept 14. All in all, a really good place to stay in Funchal. Enjoy!

I stayed here the first week of September 2024, and the owner was very kind. Breakfast was included at the little café downstairs, prepared by Mr. Mario Maria, who's a wonderful and knowledgeable person. The apartment is right in the center, with pizzerias, ice cream parlors and restaurants all close by. Parking nearby was plentiful, and we paid no more than 3 euros a day. The kitchen has everything you need to cook easily. The bathroom has no window, but it does have an extractor fan. Highly recommended.
