We took the recommendation and tried Anjo da Guarda, the best pizza I've had in ages! The village is close to Fundão and Covilhã, so it's handy for getting out and exploring. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the renovated house was cozy and had everything for a weekend away. I recommend it!
Having D. São there to welcome us made the stay feel personal, and we got to connect with the local people. We loved everything, from the decor and cleanliness to the good-quality sheets and towels. We plan to return!

The decor was lovely and tasteful, and the house was so clean and welcoming. Da. São greeted us with a little homemade cake, which was such a sweet touch. I loved everything, just wish we could have stayed more than one night. I'd come back 😃
