The place was spotless and quiet, including the house, kitchen, and room. But the rules and communication made it hard to feel at ease. We asked for no room cleaning to have some privacy, yet the host insisted on coming in. It felt more like an inspection, and nobody had mentioned this policy at check-in. When there was a noise complaint, we weren't told at the time to turn it down. We heard about it the next day, which came across as a scolding instead of an attempt to sort things out. The communication also felt strict and one-sided, with repeated instructions about what was forbidden and reminders to read the manual. The location isn't convenient if you're getting around on foot without a car. For 85 Euros, I expected a more professional, guest-friendly stay. If spotless cleanliness matters more to you than privacy and relaxing, it might be okay.

We slept really well because it was quiet, and the place was very clean. The location near the city center was great, and the hosts went out of their way to make our stay lovely. It exceeded what we expected and worked well for both business and leisure.

We could do laundry here, which turned out to be invaluable, and the host had thought through every detail. He welcomed us like family and put a huge amount of time into maps, itineraries, and practical tips, especially for Porto. His route helped us avoid unnecessary uphill and downhill walking, and even listed parking lots with their prices and number of spaces. This was the most thoughtful accommodation of our trip. We're delighted with the stay and highly recommend the guesthouse.

The breakfast was genuinely very good, and Joaquim's baker deserves five stars too. The rooms were great, with large, comfortable beds. Joaquim also gave us an excellent sightseeing route around Porto, and it led to some great photos. I’m grateful for the care and attention he gives his guests. It was an honor to meet someone so considerate, and I still look back fondly on the pleasant conversations we had during our stay. Thank you so much!
